Nothing much new

Nothing much has really happened this week. Just a lot of getting ready to move and chilling with this little cutie.


















Dusty has been trying out solid food. He eats rice and bananas. The are nummy! But if you don't shovel them into his mouth fast enough he gets MAD!!
















He loves his baths.  They are the best time of his day.

My dad bought him this swing for out swing set out back.  Dusty is still a bit too small. But love it anyway.  Lets face it, that boy loves anything that gets him outside.

I got it!!

I went back up to Emery County yesterday and had much more luck than the last time.  I found a daycare that I feel good about and a cute little apartment.  It is perfect.  The landlady just called me and told me that I got it!  I am so happy. It is going to be in Huntington. 

I will live in Huntington and that is where the daycare is as well. 
In the morning I will be driving down to Ferron to teach 7th Grade at San Raphael Jr. High.  Then I will come back up to Huntington to teach at Canyon View Jr. High 8th graders in the afternoon.  The day care is three blocks from the school and the apartment is four blocks south of that. It is about 25 minute drive from Huntington to Ferron.  I am so excited that everything is starting to come together.  I am going back up to Huntington and Price to get the key and take Dusty up to meet the daycare provider and such.  I am excited for everyone to meet him.

 Why yes there is a tent in my classroom!  There is a big wildfire near there and the firefighters are using the school as their operating base.  My classroom has been designated at the late sleepers. So the guys that work graves sleep in my classroom during the day.  Needless to say I haven't been able to get in there much.


  Now for the Dusty update!  Which I am sure is what everyone who looks at this is really wanting to see.  He is doing great.  He is sleeping more (usually), eating more, puking less, and being happy and laughing much more.  He is so stinking cute.

So there I was taking a nap while Dusty was naping in his swing.  Well I woke up to him giggling and playing and just having a good old time.  I looked over to see that he had poop exploded out of his diaper and was playing in it.  Needless to say he had a bath.  SICK!! This kid is all boy!

My redheaded shrimp!!

 I bought Dusty the Cutest pair of glasses. He is just like "whatever mom" and wears them. Everywhere we go with them on everyone is saying how adorable he looks. I love this boy!

These are from my sister's wedding in May. He wore a teeny, tiny tuxedo, little matching red tie, and a teeny rose bud. It was so adorable.

 He has discovered that he has toes! It has been very very exciting!

New Puppy and a disappointment

Well not a lot has happened this week. Pretty routine.  Dusty got a new stroller so that we could have a smaller one to take with us to California.  We were supposed to leave today. Unfortuantely Dusty got sick again and so we are not going.  He has a cold and fever. Little stinker needs to stop getting sick so he can grow big.  I feel so bad when he doesn't feel good and I can't do anything to help him.  I am also super disappointed that I don't get to go to California. I guess it is for the best, I didn't really have the money anyway.  I need to get ready for my move and starting a new school year.  So now I have the week off and I will just snuggle my baby and write lesson plans all week.  Hopefully he will get better soon. 

Such a strong boy! He hates tummy time so much. I am trying to convince him that it is okay and that is the only way he is going to be able to learn to crawl.   He isn't buying it. 

 Such a tired boy on the way home from his well baby checkup.  He was so cute smiling at all the nurses. Babbling at the doctor and grabbing his tie.  Then he had to have shots and it was soooo soo sad. 

He weights 11 lbs 9 oz.  That is in the 5% for his adjusted age. So yeah he is a shrimp.  He hasn't been growing all that great so we are trying to add extra calories to diet. He is 24 1/2 inches long.  If he would just stop getting sick then he would grow better.  Silly baby!

 He is such a cute boy! I love his little face and his big big blue eyes.  I love it. 

He loves his bear Bobo. It is just the right size that Dusty can grab his ears and get his mouth around the bears nose.  He loves him a lot.

Gangsta Doodle!  He is such a handsome boy.  We went to the New Harmony Fire Department Mud Run yesterday.  He was happy for the most part.  Poor little guy had a cough and a runny nose but was a trooper.  He just loves to be outside and that helped.  But it was so windy the combination between his cold and his allergies he got pretty miserable pretty fast. Look at those big blue eyes!

We got a new puppy.  He is a st. bernard, bull mastiff, great pyranese mix.  We had a puppy like this named Steiger that was this one's big brother.  But he got stolen/lost a year ago last June. It was so sad. He was the sweetest dog and we all miss him.  We got his brother Gus but he hadn't been socialized and just isn't the kind of dog that we wanted.  So here is Dusty's new puppy. He doesn't have a name yet.  They are thinking maybe Dozer.......we will see.
