Surprise visit

My good friend Caitlin graduated this weekend and I decided to be there for her ceremony. So as soon as I got done with new teacher training I packed up my baby and headed down to Cedar City.  We didn't tell my mom that we were coming. She was surprised.  She thought she was coming home to Skype with me and Dusty and instead when she walked in there we were!  It was fun to surprise her.  Caitlin's graduation went great and I am very proud of her.  I sure had a great time down there with my family. I miss them while I am up here. Although I am really starting to like it here in Huntington.  There are so many kind people.

This will be an extremely busy week. I start school on Tuesday.  I hope I am ready...As ready as I have time left to be.  Tomorrow afternoon I finally have an appointment with the pediatric gastroenterologist for Dusty's tummy problems.  Poor little shrimp doesn't eat very well at all. Then he throws up nearly every time he eats. Most of the time it is just a lot of baby spit up, but at least once a day it is full on throwing up.  He throws up every time he eats anything solid except applesauce and rice.  Then he gets constipated.  I am really hoping we can start getting some answers tomorrow.  It is miserable for him.  Then he has very irregular poops.... diarrhea and constipation nearly all the time.  He is just determined to do things his own way.

Dusty continues to sleep 8-9 hours straight at night. It is wonderful to be able to get that much sleep after so many months of little or no sleep.  I am so proud of my handsome man.  I sure love him.  In this picture you can see really well his cute little forehead cowlick that he has.  It is so adorable.

I redecorated my bathroom. It has been a long time.  Next will be my bedroom once I have the money. I decided to do it like my favorite picture, Starry Starry night by Van Gogh. The rugs are black, the curtain is dark blue and the towels are dark blue, white, and yellow.   I think it turned out cute.

Dusty and me all ready for my first day of work.  I went to new teacher training two days last week. It was a ton of information and I learned a lot.  I officially start on Tuesday, that is when the kids start.

While in Cedar, Dusty and I went bowling with Uncle Jake. It was a lot of fun. I love how my brothers and sister are my best friends.

Dusty's busy week!

It has been a very busy week in the Dusty and SB house hold.  My little bug has been changing and growing so much!

We didn't have an air conditioner when we moved in so we spent a lot a time at the pool trying to cool off. Dusty absolutely loves anything about the water; from the bathtub, shower, pool.    Doesn't he look so cute in his little swimming suit?

My dad ordered us an air conditioner and I have to say I have never been so grateful for anything.  I even managed to install it myself.

Dusty is finally starting to be able to use his Boppy chair.  He is just too small.  He can sit up well enough but he is so skinny that the leg holes don't hold his legs and sides well enough.  My little shrimp!

The only problem with the pool is that Dusty gets cold so fast.  So I bought him a rash guard to see if that helps.  If it doesn't help with that it is SPF 50. I think he looks cute in it anyway.

It has been a very busy week trying to get my classrooms ready. Dusty has a hard time staying for very long so I have tried to go when he is having his naps.  I just hope I am ready by next week!!  Only 9 days until school starts. I can't believe it has gone so fast.

He finally figured out how to get those things in his mouth! Not only that but he has successfully rolled over both ways!!  It is so exciting how much he is changing.  He has also started to put weight on his feet and try and stand up.  That is something that he was falling behind in.  He is doing really well.

So I got a little bored yesterday afternoon so I dressed Dusty all up in his cowboy duds.  Isn't he just the cutest little cowboy you ever saw?

His cowboy belt finally fits.

I went yard sale-ing on Saturday morning and found tons of cute clothes for Dusty.  This is one of his new outfits.  He looks so cute.  We went to an outdoor pageant in Castle Dale. It was a really cute little play.  Dusty did so good I was so proud of him.  He played and was happy and then fell asleep in his stroller and stayed asleep until morning.  He is getting so grown up!

Although it wiped him out.

Oh sooooo tired!

Before we left for Huntington I didn't want Dusty to fall asleep because I wanted him to sleep in the car.  I was trying to keep him awake. So cute!

Our new house!!

I don't have much time to update. I only have limited access to a computer since I moved into my new house and don't have internet until Friday.  The move to Huntington went rather smoothly.  My parents and my brother, as well as some neighbors, helped load the trailer. Then my mom and dad drove up here with me and Dusty to help unload and unpack.  I pretty much have everything done except some decorating.I have decided to redo my bedroom with a yellow and grey pallet.  It is very cute.

Now for the real reason anyone looks at my blog.  The DOODLE!!!

DUSTY's First cowboy hat! I love it! Yes i know it is pink, but pink is an ok color for a cowboy and it was a $45 hat on sale for $10. Pink was the only choice.

The little dude just showing off his grabbing skills at the doctor.......before the shots.....
I took him through the automatic car wash and he was AMAZED!!
We had to have one last ride on the horse before we left.

We also had lots of play time with the puppy, Otis.

Our last night in town we went and play with our new friend C.  He was born the same day as Dusty was, except full term.  His mom and I were in the same prenatal class.  He doesn't look all that much bigger than Dusty really, just much chubbier.  Dusty is starting to catch up!

THEN THE MOVE

We don't have air conditioning yet and it is miserable.  This is the only way that I could get dusty to quit screaming! Pretty much naked in front of the fan.
I also took him swimming for the first time trying to beat the heat. He LOVED it.  He floated on his back with only my hand gently resting under his head.  He just completely relaxes in the water.  He is a little fish.  Even when he went under water or another child splashed him in the face he just blinked and splashed harder.

We really must have played hard because that night he slept for NINE HOURS STRAIGHT!  I couldn't believe it. When I woke up and saw that it was already almost six I was so disoriented.  Then he had a quick bottle and a diaper changed and slept for another hour. It was glorious.
I got most of my decorations up, it is already feeling like home.
Saying goodbye to grandpa and grandma was especially hard. I can't wait until I can go back to cedar in 25 days and see them.  Dusty will have changed so much!
