I don't have much time to update. I only have limited access to a computer since I moved into my new house and don't have internet until Friday. The move to Huntington went rather smoothly. My parents and my brother, as well as some neighbors, helped load the trailer. Then my mom and dad drove up here with me and Dusty to help unload and unpack. I pretty much have everything done except some decorating.I have decided to redo my bedroom with a yellow and grey pallet. It is very cute.
Now for the real reason anyone looks at my blog. The DOODLE!!!
DUSTY's First cowboy hat! I love it! Yes i know it is pink, but pink is an ok color for a cowboy and it was a $45 hat on sale for $10. Pink was the only choice.
The little dude just showing off his grabbing skills at the doctor.......before the shots.....
I took him through the automatic car wash and he was AMAZED!!
We had to have one last ride on the horse before we left.
We also had lots of play time with the puppy, Otis.
Our last night in town we went and play with our new friend C. He was born the same day as Dusty was, except full term. His mom and I were in the same prenatal class. He doesn't look all that much bigger than Dusty really, just much chubbier. Dusty is starting to catch up!
THEN THE MOVE
We don't have air conditioning yet and it is miserable. This is the only way that I could get dusty to quit screaming! Pretty much naked in front of the fan.
I also took him swimming for the first time trying to beat the heat. He LOVED it. He floated on his back with only my hand gently resting under his head. He just completely relaxes in the water. He is a little fish. Even when he went under water or another child splashed him in the face he just blinked and splashed harder.
We really must have played hard because that night he slept for NINE HOURS STRAIGHT! I couldn't believe it. When I woke up and saw that it was already almost six I was so disoriented. Then he had a quick bottle and a diaper changed and slept for another hour. It was glorious.
I got most of my decorations up, it is already feeling like home.
Saying goodbye to grandpa and grandma was especially hard. I can't wait until I can go back to cedar in 25 days and see them. Dusty will have changed so much!
