Long Time Coming-Photo Update

It has been a while!

Dusty is doing great. At 2 years and 8 months he is growing like crazy and so very smart! He says the funniest things and I love it! 

He was in time out and I forgot. He went and got his pillow and crept back.  Soon I found him in time out asleep.

We had a good Easter/Spring Break.  We had a lot of fun down on the farm with Papa and Mimie.

My Amazing Little Man

I love my little guy so much! He is my entire world. The older he gets the more fun he is.  He is my best friend and the reason I live.  I can't wait to see what adventures this summer brings.

Bean-pole

My little shrimp is a total bean pole. We went to his two year old check up. His current stats are:

Weight: 27lbs 4oz  32%
Height: 37 inches tall.  91%

He is super tall and skinny. The doctor said that he will likely be around 6'0".  He is doing great physically and seems to be on track. He is still slow developmentally in some areas but catching up all the time.

Big boy!

Last night some exciting things happened at our house.  Dusty slept in a big boy bed for the first time!! He kept trying to climb out of his crib so I decided that it was time for him to be a big boy.  He loves that he can climb in and out; he played in his bed all evening. He did so well.  I had to lay down with him to help you fall asleep but then he stayed in his bed all night. In the morning he cried for a minute until he realized that he could get out of bed and he came and found me.

I can't believe how big he is getting. I can't stand it.

Two Years Old!

I can't believe my handsome guy is two years old today. He is so amazing!

22 lbs

loves Trains, building towers, talking, running, playing with papa and mimie, going to daycare, making train and car sounds, snuggling, and being chased.  He is on track developmentally. At two they no longer adjust his age for being premature so he is still a little behind with speech but his gross motor skills are on track and his fine motor is catching up quickly.  He is in the 21% for weight.  Still skinny but at least on the chart. He is doing so well.  

I just thinking about being in labor and how scary it was. I just can't believe how far we have come. This time two years ago I was getting ready to push and everything was uncertain.  This time one year ago I had a scrawny little guy who was allergic to everything and underweight.  This year I have a thriving healthy beautiful little guy who is my whole world. I love him more than anything and can't wait to see what the next year brings.
